About BlueWater Physiotherapy
Revolutionizing Physiotherapy
I’ve been re-imagining how Physiotherapy is practiced and delivered since the mid 1990’s. When I opened the doors to BlueWater Physiotherapy in 2001 we were among the first to provide 60 minute treatment sessions one-on-one with the Physiotherapist. Client’s health and therapist learning both benefited from this uninterrupted attention.
Over time it has become clear that the model in which all medical professionals are taught to understand movement and pain is incomplete and outdated. As a result I’ve gradually added missing pieces into the model with improvements in client results each time.
It has added up to a unique approach that many describe as comprehensive, but I continue to add pieces to the model. Most people have not had the movement of their organs and arteries assessed, or had someone pay attention to how fluids are flowing (like lymph), to check if structures in the brain have proper mobility, or look at how energy is flowing through and around the body. All of these get restricted or blocked and result in altering large movements like walking or breathing. Unfortunately, we do not seem to be able to exercise our way out of these kinds of restrictions.
The learning and innovation continues. Moving forward I am striving to make the knowledge and skills more available to those who wish to learn – either to better look after themselves or to help others feel and move better, and to heal.
BlueWater Physiotherapy opened in 2001 in Victoria BC, incorporated in 2016 and is now located in Redwood Meadows near Calgary, Alberta

Jeff earned degrees with honors in biology (1990) and Physical Therapy (1993) from the University of Saskatchewan.
Since then he has developed a rare and remarkable skill set for finding and treating sources of movement problems. This is based on an immense knowledge of anatomy and movement, and an ability to detect and evaluate very subtle rhythms and movements in the body.
He continues to learn with gifted teachers in the fields of anatomy, visceral manipulation, development of core and stability, and energy medicine.
Jeff has held senior positions at prestigious international facilities such as the Roosevelt Warm Springs Institute for Rehabilitation in Warm Springs, Georgia, and the King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
He is a certified clinical instructor for Physical Therapy students, and he mentors Professionals from many disciplines in developing hands on and critical thinking skills. He has developed and taught innovative wellness and movement programs, and has worked with athletes, performing artists, and members of Royal Families.
Most importantly, Jeff is a life-long learner.
Jeff is a past committee member and chair of the Registration Committee with the BC College of Physical Therapists (Licensing), and has earned respect for his high ethical standards.
